Channel Nine star Ben Fordham is about to become very busy with the beloved Ninja Warrior host confirming he and his wife, journalist Jodie Speers, are expecting their third child together.
Ben, who is already the proud father to son Freddy, four, and daughter Pearl, who turns two in October, shared the happy news via his Instagram account on Tuesday.
Alongside a 3D video of his unborn bub at their 18-week ultrasound, the 42-year-old penned: “Incoming !!! Baby #3 coming soon to the Fordham family. Love ya @jodiespeers 🐣🐣🐣.”
But it was the heartwarming video posted to Jodie’s Instagram, which you can watch in the player at the top, that really took the cake!
“So, if we were to have another baby, do you guys have any good names?” Ben asks his blonde cherubs, Freddy and Pearl.
To which they reply with their hilarious suggestions, including Apple and Chocolate.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming one more sibling for these two come September! 🐣 Not sure their name suggestions will make the cut, but we’ll keep working on it,” Jodie captioned the post.
2GB host Ben has won a legion of fans online thanks to his adorable videos featuring his son, who he affectionately calls “old mate”, and daughter so we can’t wait to see another third Fordham in the mix.

While Ben was recently tipped as Channel Nine’s firm favourite to replace Karl Stefanovic on Today, the Walkley award-winning reporter, who worked on the program for four years until 2014, says his young family are his priority and he won’t be returning to breakfast TV anytime soon.
“As much fun as it was being there with Karl, Lisa, Georgie and Dicky every morning, it’s a lot more fun now,” Ben explained to TV WEEK.
“My mornings changed from grabbing a coffee on the way to the studio, to having breakfast at home with the kids.”
Since leaving the Today Show, Ben’s focus has been on radio, dabbling in TV with gigs like Ninja Warrior and being the best dad possible to his two children.
A huge congrats to Ben and Jodie on this amazing news!
