After a challenging start to motherhood, Becky Miles has shared a promising update to her daughter Billie’s health.
On Sunday, the 2020 Bachelorette revealed Billie – who was born seven weeks early on April 30 – was finally able to leave the hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and come home.
“Bye NICU! 👋🏼 it’s been a wild, crazy emotional ride at the NICU but also very grateful to have had the support from the nurses, they’re all so incredible and we feel like we’ve learnt a lot and are prepped to take our girl home,” Becky shared.
“So very excited to show you the world our gorgeous Billie 💗 we love you so very much.”
Becky’s update on Billie was met with dozens of well-wishes from fellow reality stars, with former Survivor contestant Felicity Eggington commenting: “So happy for you all ❤️you’ve done such a good job mumma! Xx”
The 31-year-old’s sister and Bachelorette co-star Elly Miles wrote: “I’m not crying” while former Bachelor in Paradise star Jessica Brody penned: “So teeeny❤️ little angel.”
Billie’s discharge from hospital comes less than a week after Becky revealed she was finally able to breastfeed.
“We had a few unsuccessful days managing four breastfeeds (only doing three, she got too tired so needed a tube),” Becky shared.
However, after some unsuccessful tries, they finally struck gold last Wednesday when they “smashed a successful four breastfeeds and snuck in one bottle feed overnight”.
“Today, we are aiming for five breastfeeds! She is doing so well,” Becky wrote.
Then Becky confirmed they’re at their last hurdle by sharing, “Once we are at 48 hours of full “suck” (bottle or breast) feeds (eight in total) then we can take her home.”
Becky and her partner James Bevin announced the arrival of their bub on Instagram in early May by posting a photo from the hospital.
“Welcome to the world little girl ~ we are just so very in love with you 🌸,” she wrote.
“Billie Austin Bevin, born morning of 30 April ~ 33 weeks 3 days old. She’s early but doing so well 💗.”
