The news of a royal baby has always been front page material, and The Australian Women’s Weekly has a time-honoured tradition of honouring our royal newcomers with a spot on the cover.

Marking the beginning of royals’ lives through generations, we’ve chosen celebratory cover images of royal kids from the Queen herself to her great-grandchildren, and newcomers to other royal families as well.

Our most recent magazine, the Souvenir Edition with Princess Charlotte on the cover, is only on news stands until the 24th of June. Your last chance to pick it up is this weekend, so add it to your collection of other gorgeous royal baby covers over the year.

The Souvenir Edition of the Australian Women’s Weekly from August 2014 celebrated the birth of Prince George of Cambridge.

The eight-month-old future King also appeared on the cover of the April 2014 issue of The Australian Women’s Weekly ahead of his then upcoming antipodean tour with his parents the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

The Weekly’s May 2015 cover star was Prince George, the boy third-in-line to the throne.

Speculation over William’s name was front page news before he was born.

Prince Charles and his sister Anne a bit more grown up in 1953.

Princess Caroline, daughter of Grace Kelly was pictured sleeping soundly on the cover.

Caroline’s christening was also big news.

William looks a lot like his father in his younger years.

Even the Queen was featured on the cover as a child back in 1937.
