The Australian Women’s Weekly and Qantas are looking for Women of the Future – amazing people pursuing a dream to help others.
Now in its fifth year, The Australian Women’s Weekly Qantas Women of the Future competition encourages young women aged between 18 and 34 with a great business idea, charity or creative venture to enter.
She could be one of three winners sharing a prize pool of more than $100,000.
In 2016, The Australian Women’s Weekly Qantas Women of the Future award winners included Georgia Richards, a scientist specialising in chronic pain, and Lauren Rowe, who’s helping raise awareness of organ donation with her not-for-profit, Gifted Life.
Through the awards, these exceptional young women, plus runners-up, have been able to make a difference to the lives of others in our community.
As you can see, there’s a stellar line-up of judges this year including the legendary Ita Buttrose (OBE); Lucy Turnbull, businesswoman, lawyer and wife of Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull; Foreign Minister Hon Julie Bishop; to Islamic youth community advocate Yassmin Abdel-Magied; Qantas Group Executive Olivia Wirth; Today show co-host Lisa Wilkinson and Editor-in-chief of The Australian Women’s Weekly, Kim Doherty.
THE PRIZES
Judges’ Choice: voted by our panel of experts – $25,000 plus a $25,000 Qantas travel bursary and a year’s Qantas Club membership.
People’s Choice: voted by the readers – $12,500 plus a $12,500 Qantas travel bursary and a year’s Qantas Club membership.
Judges’ Special Mention: voted by our panel of experts – $12,500 plus a $12,500 Qantas travel bursary and a year’s Qantas Club membership.
