New York Times suggests putting peas in guacamole; whole world revolts in disgust

Yesterday, the New York Times did something very controversial.

And no, it wasnโ€™t upping a candidate for their upcoming election, or making a provocative call on a political play.

It was much, MUCH worse.

In an article on their website, which was tweeted to their 17.7 million Twitter followers, one of their staff chefs posted a recipe for guacamole.

With peas.

Thatโ€™s right. Captioned, โ€œAdd green peas to your guacamole. Trust us.โ€, the NYT broadcasted their guac-and-peas travesty to the whole world โ€“ and the whole world did. not. like it.

Everyone from President Obama, to presidential candidates, tweeted out their outrage at NYTโ€™s audacious suggestion. And weโ€™re joining in: guacamole is just perfect the way it is โ€“ without the addition of mushy peas.
