No holiday is complete without a photo for social media, but thanks to tags and geolocations it is easy to see what everyone is doing, and where they are.
Folks over at Travel Bird have collected data from Instagram and worked out that the most ‘grammed place in the world is Disneyland, USA.
With around 14.6 million hashtags, Disneyland outranked second place by a country mile with nearly double the amount of tags. Second place went to the Eiffel Tower, Paris with around 7.2 million hashtags.
Third place also went to a Disney relation, with Walt Disney World in Florida pulling in almost 5.5 million hashtags.
Travel Bird collated all of this data into a list, and showcased where millennials travelled to based solely on their Instagram photos.
No surprises, then, that Disneyland ranked at the top, followed by the extremely photogenic Eiffel Tower.
Natural landmarks didn’t feature highly on the list, with South Beach, Florida sitting in fourth place, and Niagara Falls coming in next at twelfth.
It seems everyone loves Disneyland, with the California theme park also a celebrity favourite. New mum Chrissy Teigen even had a hilarious photo fail when she visited the fun park with her husband, John Legend.
Chrissy hopped on the ride Splash Mountain, but got an unexpected surprise as the ride plunged into the water below.
“MY MILK!” Chrissy jokingly captioned the photo, which she posted on Instagram.
Disneyland is a fan favourite for a reason, and we can’t imagine it getting bumped from the top spot any time soon.
After all, who doesn’t want to meet a Disney Princess? For our children’s sakes, obviously…
