Meet the brothers changing the face of Melbourne dining

Leading the Australian Gourmet Traveller New Talent pack, are these Melbourne boys

Meet Tyson, Blayne and Chayse Bertoncello.

They’re three brothers in their twenties with a passion for food.

And they are the winning combination behind, O. MY, Melbourne.

In the two years since the Beaconsfield restaurant opened its doors diners have been blown away.

And so has the team at The Weekly’s stablemate Australian Gourmet Traveller who have included the trio as nominees in the Gourmet Traveller Restaurant Awards.

The awards are a “tribute to the nation’s finest talents in the kitchen, on the pour and on the floor,” says the magazine – on sale now.

Other talents on the shortlist include Firedoor, Sydney for New Restaurant of the Year and The Gresham, Brisbane for Bar of the Year.

Tyson, Chayse and Blayne were nominated for their mix of talents.

“The idea of three brothers, all in their twenties opening a degustation-only restaurant they renovated themselves on the very outskirts of Melbourne could so easily have gone terribly wrong,” writes Gourmet Traveller.

“But the Bertoncello brothers are the real deal. Their food is original, exciting, engaging and looks good… They even grow a lot of the produce themselves.”
