If you’re a Kerri-Anne Kennerley fan (and let’s face it, who isn’t) you may want to sit down for this.
The Queen of Aussie TV is coming back to your screens for your morning routine pleasure.
Network Ten has announced this morning that Kerri-Anne will join Studio 10 as a regular co-host on Mondays and Tuesdays, starting 10 September, and we couldn’t be more excited!
“Three decades of live television is just not enough. I can’t wait to get the adrenaline pumping again and join the wonderful Studio 10 team two days a week,” Kerri-Anne said in a statement from the network.
“There is a slight feeling of coming home to TEN, where I enjoyed over a decade of fabulous live television. I have a feeling it will be a lot of fun.”
Joining regular hosts Sarah Harris, Joe Hildebrand, Angela Bishop, Denise Scott and Denise Drysdale, the 64-year-old is set to bring a familiarity which will bring a breath of fresh air to the popular show.
The TV Week Logie Hall of Fame winner, who is about to turn 65 this month, took a step back from the spotlight to care for her husband John, who was confined to a wheelchair after suffering a spinal cord injury in 2016.
The couple, who have celebrated 35 years together, have had forged through many ups and downs, however, her story is one of strength resilience, courage and hope and we cannot wait to have her back on our screens.
