Well, almost every one of them.

In a rather unexpected update, new information about a private dress stash has come to light, and you can bet we’re jumping at the bit to know more.

Speaking to one of the Duchess’ favourite brand creatives, Needle & Thread founder Hannah Coffin, HELLO! magazine unsuspectingly revealed a very important piece of information about Kate’s fashion collection.

The inspiring designer let slip that the Duchess does in fact have an entire secret collection of dresses, one of which she wore unexpectedly at an event back in January.

The dress in question? Her very regal, very glamorous, very sparkly red Aurora dress by Needle & Thread, which she wore to a reception at Buckingham Palace on January 20.

“We knew that the Duchess had this dress among others… and you know, she wears us privately, so we didn’t know if she was just having a private event or whatever – so we didn’t actually know if she was going to be wearing it and which of the dresses she would wear,” Coffin revealed.

Anyone else remember this glorious fashion moment from Kate?

The designer also shed some light on the process that leads to picking out Catherine’s famous outfits.

She explained the team at Needle & Thread send dresses to Kate’s assistants, who then decide with the 38-year-old herself as to if, when and how she will wear them.

Apparently, Kate is very “hands on” in the process, which means her flawless style isn’t just down to the fact she has a team of talented stylists at her fingertips.

We will never, ever forget Kate’s glorious 2011 wedding dress.

The royal Duchess has been a leader in the fashion world, albeit without even trying, since she married Prince William in 2011.

Her long sleeved lace wedding dress, designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen, set the precedent for bridal fashion over the course of the decade, and her various ensembles since have inspired seasonal trends and defined style sets all over the world.

Back in the British summer of 2019, the Duchess had another defining style moment when she attended Royal Ascot wearing Elie Saab.

The beautiful baby blue design, which featured intricate lace and a pussy bow neckline, was coveted not least for its flawless look on the Duchess, but also because it marked the first time the royal had worn the Haute Couture designer.

In the months following, various brands recreated affordable versions of the design – a mark of how dedicated and influenced people are by the royal’s style.

It’s moments like these that define the course of fashion – and if her secret array of sparkly dresses are ever to be fully revealed, you can count on us filling our wardrobes with our own, sequin-clad numbers.

Forever watching and waiting and revelling in Kate’s next knockout look.

This Royal Ascot moment was one to remember.
