Kate Middleton is a fashion force to be reckoned with, no matter what the circumstances – and her latest display is the perfect example.

While the world hunkers down and stays indoors for our own, and everyone else’s safety during the COVID-19 pandemic, it is to be expected that we mightn’t be seeing what the royals are getting up to in the traditional ways we’ve become accustomed to.

Nope, understandably, we won’t be seeing any public appearances or royal tours for a little while.

But behind the scenes, it turns out there’s still a lot happening, and perhaps most excitingly, said happenings include some new threads in Kate’s enviable wardrobe.

Over the weekend, new images surfaced of the Duchess and her husband Prince William paying a secret visit to the London Ambulance Service 111 control room in Croydon, where they highlighted some of the work they were doing amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Alongside the Instagram pictures, William shared: “Catherine and I were proud to visit staff working at NHS 111, to pass on our personal thanks, along with those of my grandmother and father, to staff working around the clock to provide care and advice to those that need it most.”

The update was met with much excitement from fans, many of whom are staying indoors at present – making clear the need for ambulance staff support now more than ever.

But there was one other thing we had to stop and appreciate.

Kate’s pink suit.

Oh yes, this get-up was a definite win from the Duchess of chic – and we were all the more excited to learn of its origins.

While Kate’s outfits are often worth more than our collective assets and income, she has been known to rock a High Street steal once in a while.

Which is why we were positively thrilled to learn this particular ensemble was from none other than Marks & Spencer.

The suit in question was from none other than High Street brand Marks & Spencer.

The heavenly pink suit is worth $AUD312, which isn’t bad when you consider some of the pricier threads she often wears otherwise.

But even despite the price, Kate has a track record of selling out entire lines of clothing within seconds of her wearing certain styles as fans flock to recreate her look.

That’s why a twist of fate had us do a double take in the hours after the new pictures surfaced, because in what seems like a royal first, the suit didn’t sell out immediately.

Was it because people are now working from home, which tends to make us reach more for lounge wear than corporate wear? Or perhaps Marks & Spencer made plenty of extra styles knowing how popular it would become?

Either way, it was surprising, yet exciting to see that the suit was still safely available for anyone who wanted to nab their own.

There is one little catch if you’re in Australia, however – the suit appears to only be available via the UK-based website.

No matter though, the Australian website still has a couple of similar styles that are even more appropriate for our warmer climate.
