It’s the awards show that brought us THAT kiss between Madonna and Britney, the Kanye West and Taylor Swift feud and Miley’s foam finger that is forever etched in our memory.

So, naturally we’re expecting big things from this year’s MTV Video Music Awards, which are being held at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

The world awaits Britney Spears’ epic return to the stage as she gears up to perform her new single, Make Me. It marks the pop princess’ first performance at the iconic ceremony in nine years.

Meanwhile Beyonce, who has a whopping 11 nominations this evening, shut down the red carpet as she arrived with a very special date – her daughter, Blue Ivy.

All eyes will be on Kanye West, who has been given four minutes of free reign on the VMAs stage. Can he possibly top last year’s open mic moment, when he announced he wants to run for presidency in 2020? Only time will tell!

Beyonce was in fine form as she sung a mash-up of her most popular hits from her latest offering, Lemonade.

The last time Brit performed at the VMAs was in 2007. And on Sunday night, she was back with a bang!
