And what better day to rejoice in the greatness of beer than today, International Beer Day, Friday, August 4th – like you needed an excuse.
The 25th Australian International Beer Awards (AIBA) took place last month and the winners list has us dreaming of cracking open a frosty cold one.
The AIBA is the largest annual beer competition in the world and this year the competition had over 1890 beers entered.
These people know good beer when the taste it.

The honour of the the best beer in Australia officially titled Champion Australian Beer was given to Victorian brewery White Rabbit for their White Rabbit White Ale (draught).
The Best Australian Style Lager was taken out by Storm Super Dry and Aldi took out a silver medal in the Lager category for their exclusive ALDI Leo Lager.
The winners are selected by a panel of almost 80 international and local judges,
“As always the standard of beer entered was exceptional with the gold medal and trophy winning beers representing the absolute pinnacle of beer quality from around the globe,” said Head Judge Brendan Varis (founder of Feral Brewing Co).
