Sometimes the The world just isn’t fair
Your alarm didn’t go off, your toast burnt, the kids are sick AND THEN your chocolate is missing its key element.
This was the case for one Jess Mackay, who was dismayed to find her block of Caramello had NO CARAMEL IN IT!
First world problems, yes – but the chocoholic outrage is real.
Jess (who we want as our new best friend) left a hilarious recap of her ordeal on the Cadbury Dairy Milk Facebook page:
Highlights of this Mum’s epic journey include her solid commitment to the late night chocolate run, “I didn’t really care that I was in my oversized, hole ridden pj’s, nor did I care that I wasn’t wearing a bra.”
Her efforts to avoid people she knew are heroic, “I made it home relatively unscathed, except where I had to commando crawl past the veggie section to avoid one of those sickly perfect school mums for her ‘super kids’,” Jess jokes in the post.
And we can’t forget her love of chocolate – one all of us can relate to:
“I didn’t care about the resealable opening; I knew this baby wouldn’t hang around long enough for a reseal.”
And we were there with Jess when she realised something was amiss; there was no caramel inside her block of Caramello.
Luckily, Jess had a sense of humour about the calamity.
“If you could kindly send me a years supply of Caramello chocolate I’ll let this one slide.”
“Yours truly, Commando Caramello.”
We really hope you got your chocolate Jess, Godspeed solidger.

Keeping chocolate delicious
A little extra tip from us: how to make sure your chocolate is always delicious
How is chocolate best stored?
Chocolate should be stored in cool, dry conditions. If it becomes too warm, the cocoa butter rises to the surface and a whiteish-grey film or “bloom” develops.
The chocolate will still taste the same and, once melted, will usually return to its original colour. If chocolate has been refrigerated or frozen, bring it to room temperature before using.
