Bella Cruise — Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise’s adopted daughter — recently announced that she launched a new fashion brand titled BKC.
“Welcome to BKC — a new clothing line by Bella Kidman Cruise,” a statement on the brand’s new site read.
“Bella has been an artist her entire life. Her go-to medium is marker on paper with her inspiration for her artwork drawn largely from friends, fashion, and music,” the message continued. “It has been a life-long dream of Bella’s to put her art onto clothing; her brand new t-shirt collection is the first glimpse in the realization of this dream, with many more to come in the near future.”
The 25-year-old’s debut collection features six different t-shirts ranging from white to navy to black, and they all showcase one of Bella’s hand-drawn creations. Each design has a fun, eclectic feel to it and would definitely make a unique addition to anyone’s wardrobe. The crew-neck shirts all ring up at $85.
The artist has previously pursued a career in the makeup artistry and graduated from West London’s Delmar Academy of Make-up and Hair. However, she has since gone down the design path and has focused on her art.
Back in 2006, after Tom married Katie Holmes, Bella went on to work for Katie’s clothing line Holmes and Yang, so she has some fashion experience.
Nicole and Tom adopted Bella and brother Connor Cruise and the kids’ relationship with their mother has been difficult.
Nicole received major backlash for failing to mention her two adoptive children in her Golden Globes speech back in January, only thanking her two younger daughters whom she shares with husband Keith Urban.
“First cab off the rank, that means my daughters are still awake so [Sunday], Faith, I love you. I’m bringing this home to you babies,” she said during her speech.
Many have speculated that Bella and Connor’s involvement in the Church of Scientology has driven a wedge between them and their mother. But with the announcement of her new clothing line and the brand’s name including “Kidman,” maybe all is well between the mother-daughter duo. This is the first time Bella has officially used her mother’s last name.
