But for Chinese supermodel Ming Xi, her strut down the runway ended in disaster after her towering heels and flowing cape tripped her up.

The 28-year-old stacked it – albeit in a very graceful fashion – in the middle of the show.

But proving she’s the ultimate trouper, she simply readjusted her headpiece and got straight back up there and continued on with the show, complete with a sparkling smile on her face.

And Ming Xi needn’t worry too much, she’s definitely not the first star to trip up on the job.

Who could forget when South African supermodel Candice Swanepoel suffered a nasty tumble at the Givenchy SS16 runway at New York Fashion Week in 2015?

The statuesque stunner’s ginormous stilettos got the better of her and she went T over A, landing flat on her face.

Thankfully, the 29-year-old was quickly tended to by an audience member and she managed to jump straight up.

“Thank you to who ever picked me up off the runway tonight. Left with little scratches but mostly a bruised ego #ohwell,” she tweeted shortly after the mishap.

The 28-year-old was such a great sport and simply laughed it off.

The show must go on!

It happens to the best of us, and at the 2016 NYFW Michael Kors runway show, Bella Hadid fell victim to a catwalk catastrophe.

Gigi Hadid’s younger sister appeared to be doing a bang-up job of maintaining her best model pout, but when her platform heel took a slight wobble, it all came crashing down.

In what appeared to be a split second, the 21-year-old hit the floor in front of the eyes of the fashion world’s elite. With an awkward laugh, she got herself back to her feet. See the fall in the next slide! Gallery continues…

Victoria’s Secret stunner Candice Swanepoel shows us even angels fall from the heavens!

The 29-year-old suffered a spectacular tumble at the Givenchy SS16 runway at New York Fashion Week in 2015.

But like a true professional, she was straight back up and strutting her stuff again in no time.

In 2010, British model Agyness Deyn was defeated by her chunky kicks during Naomi Campbell’s Fashion For Relief Runway in New York.

The star had a quick fix and thought on her feet – quite literally – simply removing her shoes, and getting on with it.

Clowning around! There was nothing to laugh about for this model when she fell over during the Mercedes-Benz China Fashion Week in March 2014.

Model in motion… During the same show at Mercedes-Benz China Fashion Week in 2015, this stunner was met with a similar fate, yet still managed to crash down in style.

Sometimes, you’ve got to embrace it… Just ask this beauty, who totally owned her tumble at the Raffles International Showcase show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia in Sydney in 2016.

It might be a fictional fall, but who could ever forget Carrie Bradshaw’s terrible trip in the much-loved 2001 episode of Sex and the City, The Real Me. If we only everyone had a fairy godmother like Heidi Klum to pick them up.
