She might look like she’ll blow away in a breeze, but Victoria Beckham knows a thing or two about power. Assessed one of the 100 most powerful women in the United Kingdom in 2013, the businesswoman and fashion designer has reached dizzying heights of clout.
Now, speaking with Elle Singapore for its July cover story, Beckham has said of her fashion designs, “I want to make a woman feel her best. I want to empower women.”
A far cry from the underwear-revealing miniskirts and busting cleavage she once sported, Beckham’s fashion now feature chic trench coats, gorgeous figured skirts that extend beyond the knee and even flat brogues.
That’s not to say the 40-year-old mum of four’s styles hide the female figure – they accentuate it, but in a way that could certainly be described as empowering.
