On the website Victoria said: ” I visited South Africa for a project that I was working on with Anna Wintour. It was on that trip that I met Mitch Besser, founder of mothers2mothers, and the Mentor Mothers, who are the most remarkable women I have ever met.
I came back from South Africa and thought, what can I do to help? I started going through my closet and found so many great pieces that I’ve worn and thought, maybe I can raise money by auctioning these off. “

It’s not the first time that Victoria has decided to mobilise her vast fashion archives for the purpose of charity. She and David have been noted for donating to charity shops multiple times in the past, including to a Red Cross store in London last year when they nearly caused a riot amongst eager shoppers queuing for days before hand in the hopes of getting their hands on a slice of Beckham fashion.

This time there will be no physical queues as the auction will be hosted entirely online, and you can participate too if you register with theOutnet now.
If you’re worried about not being able to afford the designer duds, fret not for theOutnet notes that: “in addition to the charity sale, 10 items from Victoria’s wardrobe will be placed in a special ‘Going, Going, Gone’ sale. From August 20th-24th, at 10.30am and 3.30pm BST, an exclusive item will be sold in a reverse auction.”
That means that the price drops instead of increasing and it’s all about timing – so you could be in with a chance to pick up one of Victoria’s old frocks too!

Another piece for sale is this tailored Roland Mouret dress that Victoria was snapped wearing in New York in 2012.
Victoria posted this flashback snap to her Twitter page to mark the launch of theOutnet’s campaign. It features her in a neon yellow Roberto Cavalli dress that she wore to a pre-World Cup party for David in 2006. The dress will also be up for auction.
