In recent times, there have been a couple of pronunciation reveals that have thrown us in a loop, like Nutella (new-tella).
And apparently, the latest one to get all technical is fashion brand, Zara.
The global brand is based in Spain which means it’s not pronounced like “Zah-rah” as many Australians call it.
The “z” has more of a soft “th” sound and the slightly rolled “r” is closer to a “d”.
The result?
“Tsah-dah” or “dzah-dah.”
So there you have it.
