Big winners of the night include Kate Winslet, who won Best Supporting Actress for her role in Steve Jobs, Matt Damon, who landed the Best Actor in a Comedy or Musical for The Martian, Mad Men‘s John Hamm scored the Best Actor In a TV Drama and Jennifer Lawrence won the Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy for Joy.

A pure Joy! Best Actress winner Jennifer Lawrence dazzled in an elegant red floor-length dress which she accessorised with a netted silver statement necklace, slicked back tresses and a bright red lip.
“It was such an honour to play this character,” Jennifer beamed during her acceptance speech for her role in Joy.
Leonardo DiCaprio was overcome with emotion as he accepted the award for the Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture thanks to his role in The Revenant. “Wow! Thank you! What an incredible honour. That meant a lot.”
The newly-single star flew solo on the red carpet.
He didn’t walk the red carpet but Brad Pitt made sure to bring all the funny as he took to the stage with his The Big Short co-star co-star Ryan Gosling to present an award.
