She’s been known to make many a brave statement with her fashion choices, but the newest dress in Serena Williams’ wardrobe has taken things to the next level.
In a fashion rarity, the talented sporting star has managed to create a dress that not only feels comfortable, but looks great … on literally every single body shape.
The mum-of-one debuted the new dress via her Instagram account this month, sharing a striking video of herself and six other women of different shapes and sizes wearing the bright red creation.
Speaking to the ladies in the video, Serena says: “No one in the wold looks exactly the same. We all have different personalities… different traits.”
“What better way than to showcase [the dress] on every body type?”
Watch the ladies model the new design in the video below.
The sentiment of the dress was felt by the women in the video, with one saying: “I’m curvy, but I’m confident in my curves. You have really taken something and made it work for different sizes.”
Meanwhile another candidly states: “I feel spicy like a jalapeño.”
The design certainly is red hot. Featuring a long-sleeved fitted bodice with a twisted front and V-neck, the dress looks amazing on all seven of the women in the video.
As seen in the video, the style can also be accessorised to the tastes of the wearer.
Indeed, some women are seen wearing strappy heels with the dress while others are wearing flat sandals.
Coming in sizes extra small to 3X extra large, we’re big fans of this dress already!
This isn’t Serena’s first foray into clothing design – the tennis legend launched her clothing line, which has a striking ‘S’ logo in May this year.
The collection includes a number of versatile designs, including ruched skirts, bodysuits and lounge pants.
At the time of launching, Serena said she hoped to bring “femininity and strength” together with the collection.
And there’s no denying her sentiment here. The female powerhouse is known for wearing striking designs on the tennis court to amplify her presence as an empowered and determined player.
At the French Open earlier his year, Serena stepped out in a black and white two-piece ensemble which featured bold text across it.
The French words translated to: “Mother, Champion, Queen, Goddess”.
So much love for this!
