The 47-year-old Danish royal accompanied her husband Crown Prince Frederik and mother-in-law Queen Margrethe for a New Year’s diplomatic reception in Copenhagen, but we couldn’t take our eyes off her breathtaking white gown.

However this dress was not a new purchase of Mary’s- in fact this is the fourth time in five years that the royal has worn the white dress.

Crown Princess Mary accessorised her elegant gown with a stunning pair of pearl drop earrings and a matching pearl necklace and wrapped up from the cold in a thick white coat.

There was even a splash of colour in there with a soft purple belt and heels. Just gorgeous!

This isn’t the only glamorous ensemble Crown Princess Mary has worn this week.

On Wednesday, the royal style icon rewore another favourite gown by Birgit Hallstein and looked utterly regal in burgundy for a New Year’s reception at Amalienborg Palace.

Crown Princess Mary is known for recycling her outfits and loves to celebrate sustainable fashion.

One of her favourite frocks, a flowing orange design from H&M’s Concious Collection, which features an array of clothing made from organic and recycled fabrics, was worn by the future Queen on numerous occasions last year.

The beautiful dress, made from organic silk and priced under $200 when it was in stores, was most recently worn on the royal’s solo tour of Indonesia.
