March is nearly upon us, and with it comes the undeniable despair of trying to find something to wear that can withstand whatever devilry the weather decides to throw.
Lucky for us, we have a style muse who is providing us all the inspiration we never knew we needed – Crown Princess Mary.
Indeed the former Tasmanian-turned-Danish-royal has just made a case for the perfect transeasonal dress, and we’re recreating the look immediately.
The Danish royal has arrived back in her home country with a bang after spending the last few months in Switzerland, and her first engagement was every bit the fashion-forward affair.
Stepping out to present several awards and scholarships in Copenhagen, Mary looked understated and chic in a grey knit dress, which featured 3/4 sleeves and a white collar.
The knee-length design was finished with a black belt, which clinched the waist.
We’re officially obsessed!
The Palace explained more about the event on Instagram, detailing how the recipients of the awards are talented PhD students, some of whom studied abroad.
This is particularly fitting for Mary, who just sent her four children, Prince Christian, 14, Princess Isabella, 12, and nine-year-old twins Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine, to boarding school in Switzerland for a term.
Mary and husband Frederik made the call in order to give their children an international experience.
Shortly after arriving in the Swiss country in January, the Palace shared some stunning shots of the family enjoying the area’s snow capped mountains.
And it’s certainly been a snow-filled extravaganza for the royal family.
Earlier this week, the Palace shared more snaps of the family spending time together in the stunning scenic county – and they were joined by a very special guest.
Indeed the family’s gorgeous dog Grace featured front and centre in the Instagram pictures!
It is likely the Danish children will return to their Danish school for the next term – just as the weather stats to warm up before summer.
And going by their previous sun-drenched summer holidays, perhaps it was lucky they got to enjoy the snow for as long as they did.
We can’t wait to see what’s in store for them in the coming months!
