As a royal, it’s pretty much a given that blue-blooded women are style influencers – we’ve seen the feat ring loud and clear when it comes to the likes of Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle.

But the buck certainly doesn’t stop there when it comes to Britain’s most regal institution.

There’s another low-key royal fashion icon who’s right up there with the best of them when it comes to all things style.

With red hair, recently married and a sucker for a good book, we are of course talking about Princess Eugenie, the youngest daughter of Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew, who is quite the unsung style hero, particularly when it comes to self-isolation.

This month, Eugenie’s mum Fergie launched a brand new YouTube platform aimed at entertaining children amid the pandemic by reading them children’s stories.

Just a couple of weeks in, the royal’s channel is awash with various colourful videos, some of which feature some very special guests.

Leading the pack is of course is her daughter Eugenie, who filmed an exclusive clip from her family home.

Sitting in the fairy tale-esque garden on a tree swing, the Princess looked fresh faced and chic in her ensemble.

Of course, as with any royal outfit, it was all in the details.

Wearing a khaki green military shirt with some black jeans, the Princess looked effortless, stylish and comfortable to boot in the casual outfit.

And as it turns out, her chic shirt is in fact from high street brand Zara, which gives us all the more ease when it comes to recreating her look.

While the exact Zara shirt is unfortunately sold out, there are plenty of similar dupes out there that are just as affordable.

The video of Eugenie also included more unexpected insight into where the royals live.

As she read the story Guess How Much I Love You by Sam McBratney (her favourite children’s book), fans spotted a rather sweet detail on her swing – it was engraved with her name.

Eugenie also got into the spirit of reading the book, using hand gestures and expressions to liven up the performance.

Eugenie got right into the emotions of the story with some big gestures during the video.

Over the weekend, the Princess celebrated her 10th anniversary with her now husband Jack Brooksbank, where she gave us another candid insight into her isolation life in the UK.

In two selfie images of the couple, the pair share wide smiles and look happy as ever during the sun’s golden hour.

“Jack and I are celebrating our 10th anniversary today…😍😍 and we are lucky enough to be together at this time,” she wrote in the caption.

She then invited fans to share their own photos and messages with her, if they were unable to be with loved ones.

“Please do send me a photo and message via DM of how you are celebrating and I will share your messages on my story over the next few days,” she added.

With this in mind, it seems like the Princess’ favourite story Guess How Much I Love You was truly apt.
