Princess Beatrice was about to have one of the biggest months of her life this May… then, everything changed.
Indeed the royal, who is engaged to property developer Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, was set to wed at the end of May before the COVID-19 pandemic put a stop to large gatherings (incidentally, you don’t get large gatherings quite like a royal wedding brings).
But despite a turbulent time of changed plans for Bea, she’s instead sticking to blissful simplicity in the most fashion-forward way – and our eyes are very grateful for it.
Yep, instead of wearing a dreamy royal wedding dress like we so joyously witness whenever any royal nuptials roll around, we’ve instead been treated to seeing the Princess in the most chic shirt she’s donned to date.
Appearing in a very special video from her London home this week, the red-headed royal shined a light on the Forget Me Not children’s hospice, inviting people to get in touch if they need support.
“I know that this is an incredibly challenging time, especially for those living in isolation not receiving that face-to-face support which is delivered by the incredible nurses and staff at the hospice,” she said in the emotional clip.
“Please know that we are with you, every single step of the way. Their helpline is available 24/7, seven days a week.”
The Princess, who is the official royal patron of the hospice, has been self-isolating along with the rest of the UK as they remain in a state of lockdown in the wake of the pandemic.
The video showed a small insight into her London apartment, with a simple wooden table and decorative plant sitting atop it in the background.
Cream walls and an artwork can also be made out behind the 31-year-old.
Of course, the other element from the rare clip we couldn’t look past was the Princess’s outfit – her crisp blue shirt is the perfect working wardrobe staple, and stands out with a unique high collar.
As a result of our clear obsession with fashion combined with royal style inspiration, we decided to source some similar shirts.
