You get one of Oprah’s old dresses! And you get one of Oprah’s old dresses! And you get one of Oprah’s old dresses!
Well, not for free.
After 25 years in the TV business the media mogul is selling her Harpo Studios in Chicago and setting up shop in Hollywood but the move means not only parting with the home of some of her greatest projects hosting a sale to sell off the contents of her sizeable studio wardrobe.
Oprah, 62, took The Coveteur for a sneaky look around her walls of shoes, racks of clothes and closets full of accessories – a space which also is home to her Emmys (all 15 of them for anyone playing at home).
And while the Emmy’s aren’t up for sale almost everything else is with proceeds being donated to her Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls.
Oprah – a woman who wouldn’t want for anything – tells The Coveteur that some pieces hold significant memories for her but not many items will be making it to her actual closet.
“I just don’t need all this intense colour, the embellishment, the heels anymore,” said Winfrey.
“When you’re in front of TV cameras every day, you have to stand out, but I’m in a different place now, and those things no longer serve me.”
Starting March 1, you can bid on everything in these pictures via eBay and new items will be added each day until March 4.
