Meghan Markle is known for her numerous on-point fashion choices, but one of her latest, rather meaningful moves almost slipped under the radar.
Luckily, the world is now trained to expect that the Duchess of Sussex does not put her outfits together lightly – which is exactly why her new choice in jewellery has been safely noted and coveted, to say the least.
While stepping out for a round table discussion near her home in Windsor on Friday, October 25, Duchess Meghan looked incredible in an all-berry red ensemble.
What’s more, her very stylish 1960s hairstyle, which was pulled into a beehive-esque up-do was all kinds of perfect on the trendy royal – not least because we’d never seen her wear her iconic tresses this way before.
But it was something rather a lot smaller that caught our eye (once we’d gotten over the heavenly Audrey Hepburn vibes!) and it was all to do with her shiny accessories.
As she stepped out of the car, the world watched with eagle eyes as precise details around Meghan’s full outfit were revealed.
Wearing a berry red V-neck fine knit paired with a matching leather-look Hugo Boss skirt, Meghan was oozing retro glamour.
But it was those little rings worn by the Duchess that captured our attention, and not least for the beautiful meaning they hold.
The rings in question were designed by Vargas Goteo, which is a label centred on raising awareness for endangered animals.
Speaking to PEOPLE, the founder of the label explained how much it meant to see a royal family member showcase her designs.
“To see my work out there and on such a remarkable woman really is a dream come true,” she told the publication.
“Meghan always exudes ease and elegance, refinement and a freshness in everything she steps out in – I loved what she wore!”

The brand launched in 2010 with a mission to create sustainable sourced jewellery that highlighted conservation and sustainability.
A percentage of the profits made by the company are donated to charities helping to protect endangered wildlife.
From the collection, Meghan wore a beautiful cuff-style ring named the Manta Kiss Ring.
She also added the High Seas Bow Knot Ring to her ensemble, which features beautiful golden rope detailing.
The charitable motives behind the label are well aligned with Meghan’s well-known passion for conservation.
Indeed she and Prince Harry have used their Instagram account to highlight this on a global scale, sharing posts about the work they, and others can do to help in conserving endangered wildlife.
The pair’s recent visit to Africa also shined a light on this, with the Prince taking part in an anti-poaching patrol in the Liwonde National Park.
Harry also guest edited national Geographic’s Instagram account, where he highlighted the ecological importance of trees by inviting people to share images ‘looking up’ at various forest canopies.
With this in mind, it’s lovely to see Meghan supporting conservation in her own, fashion-forward way!
