The fact that Kate Middleton’s wardrobe isn’t exactly cheap comes as no surprise – just one glance at her slew of designer threads is enough to have us wishing for a casual windfall of cash.
That’s why when Kate stepped out at the Wimbledon men’s final in July, her legions of fans were once again enamoured by her stunning outfit, which we initially assumed could only be worshipped from afar.
But now, a new revelation has changed our perspective on things, as a certain part of her outfit was something very accessible to us non-royal folk.
And boy are we running to the stores for this one.
The striking royal’s light blue crepe dress by Kiwi-born designer Emilia Wickstead was truly something else.
And while the dress itself was worth over $1,000 on its own (yep, our eyes were watering, too), there was another part of her outfit that was surprisingly affordable.
We are of course, talking about those chic beige heels, which are in fact designed by High Street brand Aldo and come in at a much-less-jaw-dropping price of AUD $115.
Fancy that – wearing a dress worth a fortune (by our standards at least) along with shoes you could pick up from your local department store.
We can’t help but applaud the Duchess for keeping things real!
Kate’s chic blue dress isn’t the only expensive designer item she’s worn to the prestigious tournament.
The royal also opted for a stunning green Dolce & Gabbana dress which she wore for the women’s final a day earlier.
The glamorous dress’s designer shouldn’t really come as a surprise to royal fans, as she wore a bright yellow design by the brand exactly a year ago to the same event.
As for her shoes, Kate’s been known to slay in the footwear department many a time.
Most recently, she’s been opting to wear a pair of gorgeous espadrille wedge heels for outdoorsy engagements.
She was spotted wearing the chic style while partaking in a photography class in June, and she was spotted wearing them two more times when she visited Hampton Court garden and the polo in the weeks following.
To the absolute joy of fashion enthusiasts, Kate’s stylish summery heels are also super affordable.
Her Castañer Carina designs come in at around AUD $170 online, which isn’t so bad when you consider the fact they’re Kate-approved and you’d wear them like, all the time right?
So with this in mind, it seems we now have the ever-stylish Duchess to thank for our growing shoe collection. Step aside Carrie Bradshaw…
