Whilst many of us have found ourselves wearing the same trackies for days on end in isolation, Duchess Catherine’s fashion choices have been spot-on with every appearance.
Despite being in lockdown at their Norfolk home Amner Hall, the Duchess of Cambridge and her husband Prince William have been staying in touch with their royal patronages and speaking with frontline workers, lending their support from afar.
The ever-stylish Duchess has sported a variety of outfits ranging from chic Parisian-style stripes to floral frocks, but eagle-eyed fans have noticed a significant detail in her outfits.
When you look at the outfits on their own, there’s nothing too remarkable, but Duchess Catherine has worn every single bright colour of the rainbow.
And seeing as the rainbow is now Britian’s symbol for the National Health Service (NHS), the Duchess has honoured healthcare workers with the contents of her wardrobe.
Royal fan account Cambridge Mums drew attention to this in a post detailing all of Kate’s bright outfits.
“KATE HAS LITERALLY WORN A RAINBOW 🌈 Our duchess of impact has quite literally used her lockdown wardrobe to send a message, and WE ARE HERE FOR IT 👏🏼” the post was captioned.
The accounts’ followers were equally amazed and praised the royal mother-of-three for her subtle action.
“OMG HOW DID WE NOT NOTICE THIS?! She’s such a masterclass at Royal dressing!” an enthusiastic fan wrote.
“So thoughtful & clever! I am amazed,” penned another.
Whilst the rainbow has become a symbol for the NHS, the colour most associated with the organisation is blue. Duchess Catherine and her royal relatives including the Queen, Prince Charles, Duchess Camilla and Prince William have all donned the hue in solidarity with the NHS on numerous occasions.

Whilst Duchess Catherine made a subtle nod to the rainbow symbol, other royals are doing so more explicitly.
In a rare snap of the couple on Mike Tindall’s Instagram account, he and wife Zara donned rainbow T-shirts as they participated in the British Clap For Our Carers initiative.
“Thank you to everyone working in the @nhs @kindred_social is raising money for the NHS through these t-shirts. If you would like one please go to www.bekindbekindred.com thanks #clapforourcarers #clapfornhs,” he captioned the post.
