If there’s one thing we can always guarantee, it’s that the royals will make a glorious spectacle on Christmas Day.

In 2019, we were not disappointed – in actual fact we were straight-up treated, because it marked a debut moment for Prince George, six and Princess Charlotte, four, who had never attended the traditional Christmas service at Sandringham before.

As the royals made their exit from the Church to throngs of royal fanatics, it was very clear that young Charlotte had learnt a thing or two from her elegant mum, AKA Duchess Catherine.

Indeed the mini-royal was the epitome of polite as she made her way down the steps, performed the perfect curtsy and greeted well-wishers next to her mother.

We absolutely revelled over the young Princess’ adorable green coat, and that’s not to mention the length of time we obsessed over Kate’s gorgeous grey Catherine Walker creation.

And they do say like mother, like daughter – so it’s no surprise that the two were looking super stylish in their own rights.

But there was a small detail in Kate’s outfit we couldn’t help but think might have been a planned move.

Kate’s accessories are always on point, but you might have noticed something particularly special about the colour of said accessories at Christmas this year.

Yep, there was no denying the moss green hue of Kate’s hat and shoes – almost the exact same as her daughter’s green coat!

A coincidence or an intentional twinning moment? Well, we certainly can’t help but hope for the latter.

Also joining the royal mum and Charlotte for the service was Prince William, who stayed close to young George for the duration of the appearance.

Prince Louis, one, was just a little too young to join his family for the occasion – but lucky for us, we were treated to a glimpse of the young royal on Christmas Day in an entirely unexpected way.

Indeed in an unprecedented moment on Christmas Day, Kate Middleton dropped the most glorious picture of her family, featuring Charlotte, George and Prince William, who is seen planting a giant kiss on Prince Louis.

The new image was shared to Kensington Royal, alongside the caption: “🎄 Merry Christmas! This photograph of The Duke of Cambridge, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis was taken by The Duchess of Cambridge in Norfolk earlier this year. We wish all our followers a very happy and relaxing Christmas Day ⛄️.”

With twinning moments and pictures galore, we can safely say this Christmas has turned into a right royal spectacle.

And we’ll certainly be looking forward to more adorable fashion moments from Charlotte in the future!
