Kate Middleton has never had trouble in absolutely slaying the fashion stakes, but lately, she’s stepped things up a notch.

You might have noticed yourself, or others around you commenting, lamenting and quite simply revelling in how amazing the Duchess of Cambridge has been looking of late.

Just this week alone she’s had us picking our enamoured jaws up off the floor after stepping out in two heavenly ensembles, with her pink Stella McCartney dress worn to her nephew Archie’s christening being the latest in a slew of style slam dunks she’s made.

But it seems her impeccable choice in attire isn’t necessarily by chance.

In April this year, it was reported Kate had enlisted the help of talented stylist and friend Virginia ‘Ginnie’ Chadwyck-Healey to advise her on all things wardrobe-related.

And what an impression she quickly made.

Kate, who is known for her trendy-yet-modest-approach to dressing, was suddenly wearing items of clothing in a non-traditional sense, if you will.

It started with the purple Gucci blouse that has since become infamous after Kate wore the gorgeous style back-to-front.

Then, Kate divided the entire fashion world when she stepped out wearing an Alexander McQueen dress that many thought they’d seen her wear before.

The only thing was, they hadn’t – or at least, they hadn’t seen the garment in the same way.

First wearing the gorgeous McQueen number to the 2017 BAFTA’s, Kate rocked the off-shoulder silhouette like no other.

Two years later, Kate’s dress appeared to make a dazzling return to the spotlight when she stepped out at the 2019 Portrait Gala. This time, she wore the coveted gown with the addition of customised sleeves.

But then, she threw everything into question when eagle-eyed fans inspected the frock a little closer and realised that the pattern was slightly different to the one featured on her 2017 dress.

Yep, it seemed Kate had two versions of the divine creation by the British fashion house – imagine that!

Kate’s 2019 McQueen gown was slightly more modest than the similar frock she wore in 2017.

How has Kate’s wardrobe changed yet again?

These little tweaks and tricks have led us to June and July, which we can happily remember as a time of peak fashion glory for the Duchess. And there’s a very special reason why things just keep getting better.

According to a new report from People, there’s now another, not-so-new addition to Kate’s team that’s spurred her fashion-flare along even further.

Indeed her longtime assistant Natasha Archer, who has been on maternity leave until now is apparently back in action, and she’s got right down to business by the looks of things.

Kate’s Wimbledon dress, designed by Suzannah, was yet another style win.

A source revealed to People that Kate’s recent fashion wins had come as a result of her own desire to shake things up.

“Kate felt like she was in a bit of a style rut and thought she needed a little edge,” the source explained to the publication.

“She’s consciously worked on getting her look to be a bit younger and more modern, and it’s worked!”

We can’t argue with that. Kate has managed to send fashion fans into a frenzy over the last two months for her summery outfit choices.

Even her accessory choices are getting plenty of love – her espadrille wedge heels are undoubtedly a hit of the season as Britain and the US experience high summer.

And for us Aussies, it’s only a matter of time before we’ll no doubt be donning our own variations of the style when winter comes to an end.

We’d like our own pair of these wedge heels along with Kate’s heavenly Sandro maxi dress, please and thank you.

And in what might be our favourite look on the Duchess of all time (yes, we know that’s a big call), Kate’s Elie Saab dress worn to Royal Ascot in June was, quite simply, iconic.

The pale blue customised dress featured sheer sleeves and a pussy bow at the front, which she paired with a matching Philip Treacy hat.

We’ll call it now – Kate Middleton is fashion’s gift that never stops giving, and boy are we glad to bear witness.

Let’s all just appreciate what might be the worlds greatest collaboration: Kate Middleton and Elie Saab.
