Lily-Rose Depp is all grown up at Paris Fashion Week

While we were expecting actors Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis to have good looking kids we might not have been prepared for the beauty that is their first born, Lily-Rose Depp.

Growing up the French born 16-year-old has been largely spared the intrusive glare of the limelight thanks to her protective parents but this week she rubbed shoulders with Karl Lagerfeld and other fashion heavyweights at Paris Fashion Week.

Lily-Rose made her official high-fashion modelling debut in July as the face of Chanel eyewear.

The eccentric (and sometimes just plain weird) Karl Lagerfeld reportedly handpicked Lily-Rose for the campaign that was teased out today, to play a “baby doll in a world imbued with sweetness and femininity,” as the brand described it.

It’s believed the actual campaign won’t drop till September but fashionistas could have seen the young model’s link to the brand coming.

Earlier this year Lily-Rose walked the red carpet of the Chanel show in Paris under the watchful eye of her mum who supervised the teen as she posed in her stylish Chanel outfit with a chic bob and choice of pale lippy.

Paradis herself is a long time face of Chanel and Lagerfeld seems very taken with her genetically gifted daughter.

“Lily-Rose is stunning, she’s a young girl from a new generation with all the qualities of a star,” Lagerfeld said in a press release.

Pitted as a new ‘it girl’ the aspiring actress has stepped into the spotlight ahead of her new movie role in Kevin Smith’s Yoga Hosers, due out this year.

Lily-Rose wouldn’t be the first celebrity offspring to launch into a movie career off the fame of her parents.

Everyone knows that in the world of celebrity nepotism reigns supreme and it seems there’s no easier leg up in Hollywood than to have a famous father to hold the acting door open for you.
