Do you dress according to your safe colours? Here, Woman’s Day fashion editor Gracie Doyle tells you how to experiment with colour and how to get it right!

One: Don’t wear neon top to toe, choose one statement piece and team with neutrals and blacks.

Two: Do wear natural makeup, going over the top with makeup and a bold outfit can end up looking like a cirque du soleil costume so just a slick of mascara and some lipgloss should suffice.

Three: For those a bit frightened of the trend, ease your way in with accessories, like a clutch or shoes with neon accents.

Four: If you want to wear a colourful outfit, colour blocking is the best way to do it. Pick plain coloured pieces to team together.
