With her stunning, elfin looks, French homeland and rising Hollywood film career, Audrey Tautou makes an obvious choice for the new face of Chanel No. 5 fragrance.

Stunning Tautou shot to international fame in 2001 for her performance as the eccentric Amelie in the romantic French comedy. Then, in 2005 Tautou took on her first full Hollywood production, starring opposite Tom Hanks in the film version of Dan Brown’s best-selling novel The Da Vinci Code.

Considered one of the world’s most beautiful women, Keira has come a long way since starring in hit British film Bend It Like Beckham. In 2006, she was confirmed as the new face of Chanel’s perfume “Coco Mademoiselle,” though the first photo from the campaign was not released until 2007.

German-born Claudia Schiffer became one of the world’s most successful supermodels after being selected by Karl Lagerfeld to become the new face of Chanel in the early 1990s. She has since appeared on over 500 magazine covers.

Aussie sweetheart, Nicole Kidman became the face of Chanel No. 5 in 2004, starring in a commercial created by Moulin Rouge director Baz Luhrmann. The three-minute advertisement produced for Chanel No. 5 perfume made Kidman the record holder for the most money paid per minute to an actor.

Arguably the most successful supermodel in the world, British-born Kate Moss has featured in several modelling campaigns for Chanel, as well as for a huge array of other major French, Italian, American, and British designers.

Academy Award-nominated French actress, Catherine Deneuve was the face of Chanel No. 5 in the seventies and caused sales of the perfume to soar in the United States.

American stunner Ali MacGraw began working in 1960 as a photographic assistant at Harper’s Bazaar and then as an assistant to the legendary fashion maven, Diana Vreeland, at Vogue. She went on to become an Academy Award-nominated and Golden Globe award-winning actress.

French singer, actress and wife of Johnny Depp, Vanessa began promoting Chanel’s Coco fragrance in 1991. In the advertisement, she is dressed solely in black and feathers, portraying a bird swinging in a cage. In 2004 and 2006 she also promoted Chanel handbags.

French actress and fashion model, Carol Bouquet was a model for Chanel in the 1990s, however is possibly best known internationally as her role as Bond girl Melina Havelock in the 1981 movie For Your Eyes Only.

International icon, Marilyn Monroe promoted Chanel through her own iconic fame and when asked by a journalist what she wore in bed, replied, “Chanel No. 5”. When asked what she had on during the photo shoot, she replied, “The radio”.
