With elastic waists and fiddly clips maternity fashion can leave a lot to be desired but that was before Dita Von Teese decided to get into the mummy market.
The stylish burlesque star, who was once married to rocker Marilyn Manson, has collaborated with Destination Maternity to launch a limited edition capsule collection, Von Follies by Dita Von Teese, in a bid to harness a new mum’s sensual side.
“Elegant underpinnings are a simple way to create everyday moments of luxury and beauty, and why wouldn’t a new mother enjoy beautiful lingerie, too?” Von Teese said in a press release.
“The collection I created with Destination Maternity is designed to capture the spirit of retro glamour, while inspiring confidence and meeting the practical requirements and everyday needs of a new mother.”
The post-pregnancy fashion range came about from Dita’s long-time love of lingerie and the lacy looks complete with velvet trimmings inspire a sultry 1950s pinup girl look.
The sexy bras and matching knickers are due to be reasonably priced with all items under $100.
The 41-year-old has come a long way since beginning her career as a go-go dancer in the early ’90s and made the move from a burlesque performer to bona fide fashion star.
