The supermodel was unveiled as the face of Imedeen beauty supplements at a launch party yesterday and looked as fresh-faced and fabulous as she did at the start of her career.

Christy isn’t the only veteran supermodel still snapping up lucrative endorsement deals. Check out what some of the other familiar faces of the 1980s and 1990s are up to nowadays.

Helena Christensen was the green-eyed beauty that captured the hearts of many, including Aussie rocker Michael Hutchence. While the Danish supermodel hasn’t officially retired from modelling, she has taken to stepping behind the camera in pursuit of a photography career.

In the 1990s Eva Herzigova was a Victoria’s Secret favourite and model for Wonderbra but the 40-year-old Czech model shows no signs of slowing down. She signed on as the face of Dior in 2012 and still regularly features in campaigns for luxe clothing brands.

Kate Moss signed on as the face of Rimmel London in 2001. This week, the model who turns 40 tomorrow, released the British beauty brands latest ad campaign where Kate holds her own alongside other models half her age. Kate also recently posed nude for Playboy in the magazine’s 60th Anniversary issue.

During the peak of her career Christy was adored for her enviable figure and down-to-earth attitude.

Busy Christy says it can be tough to keep in touch with her supermodel counterparts. “I don’t see everyone very often, but we do exchange Christmas cards. I’ve had lunch with Cindy. And Naomi I see periodically. She’s really good — she’ll remember a birthday. I’m horrible.”
