Like many fuller-figured women, Adele has struggled to find fashionable clothes that fit. So when luxury brand Burberry approached her to ask if she would be the face of their next collection, she issued a challenge: make clothes that fit me and maybe I’ll work with you.
Burberry’s creative director Christopher Bailey has reportedly accepted the challenge and has asked Adele to help design the label’s first ever plus-size range, according to UK Vogue.

The collection will be designed for “voluptuous customers” and feature bespoke creations, not just existing items made in larger sizes.
If it goes ahead it will be the first plus-size range from a top designer.
Adele, 24, has been a fan of Burberry for several years, wearing couture pieces to the 2011 Brit Awards and last year’s MTV Video Music Awards.
She also loved the label as a teenager, revealing she once saved for several years to buy a Burberry bag.
“I’ve met Christopher Bailey a few times,” she has said previously. “I’ve always loved Burberry. I remember saving for three years to get my first bag before I got signed.”

A spokesman for Burberry refused to confirm the rumours. Adele’s management has also declined to comment on the reported deal.
Adele is currently awaiting the birth of her first child with boyfriend Simon Konecki. The baby is believed to be due later this month.
