The world’s top actors and actresses have arrived at the 67th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards.

Stars from the small screen are gathering at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles ready to celebrate the best in the business.

Strutting their stuff on the red carpet is everyone from Hollywood legend, Jamie Lee Curtis, supermodel Heidi Klum and Modern Family star, Sarah Hyland.

The glitzy gala will ensure Hollywood’s talented leading ladies looking gorgeous and dressed to the nines.

After 16 Emmy nominations, Jon Hamm won his first award for his role in Mad Men. Showing his humorous side, Jon clawed his way on to the stage where he joked: “There’s been a terrible mistake, clearly. Thank you for that.” Before saying: “This is impossible. It’s impossible to win all of those extraordinary gentlemen. It’s impossible to be standing up here. It’s impossible to have done the show with this incredible cast… And it’s impossible for me personally to be standing here. So I want to thank the people to whom I owe an incredible debt.”

Viola Davis became the first African American star to win the Emmy for Lead Actress in a Drama for her role in How to Get Away with Murder. “Let me tell you something, the only thing that separates women of colour from anyone else is opportunity. You cannot win an Emmy for roles that are simply not there. So here’s to all the writers, the awesome people who have redefined what it means to be beautiful, to be sexy, to be a leading woman, to be black,” she explained in her powerful speech.

Funny-lady Julia Louis-Dreyfus bagged another Emmy for political drama Veep. In her acceptance speech, she quoted her character Selina Meyer from the show. “What a great honour it must be for you to honour me tonight … oh, no, I’m sorry, Donald Trump said that, I’m sorry,” she joked.

The usually suave Adrien Brody, pictured at the Oscars in 2003 on the right, unveiled a more laid-back look (L).

Our favourite girl, Anna Chlumsky brings a touch of traditional Hollywood in a strapless, cream gown. No bees insight, but we’re buzzing over the intricate flower beading latticed across her body.
