Fans can’t get enough of Downton Abbey, so the producers are finally doing something about it

Prepare your Sunday finest.
Downton Abbey

Even though the last season of Downton Abbey ended in 2015, our love for Lady Mary and Dowager Countess of Grantham has remained as strong as ever.

And even though it’s been a couple years you still don’t have to say goodbye to the Crawley family just yet. (No, we’re not talking about a possible Downton Abbey movie).

We’re talking about a new interactive exhibition set to open in Singapore on June 17 this year which will allow you to relive all the grandeur and sophistication of Downton Abbey, without actually travelling to the real Downton Abbey (which you can actually do).

Stroll through Mrs Patmore’s kitchen.

Downton Abbey: The Exhibition allows this incredible legacy to live on by offering a multi-million dollar museum-quality experience that will delight fans, ultimately extending the connection they have with Downton’s compelling characters and storylines,” Michael Edelstein, president of NBC Universal International Studios said in a statement.

Guests will be able to literally walk through Mrs Patmore’s kitchen, check out the servants’ quarters up close and view costumes worn by the stars of the show.

Never-before-seen footage of the award-winning show will also be on display, as will historical details from the time period the show was set in – beginning with the sinking of the Titanic in 1912 and ending in the post-WWI mid-1920s.

After Singapore, the exhibition is scheduled to travel the world (fingers crossed for an Australian stop), ending in 2018 in the US.

You can pre-register for tickets here, and stay informed on upcoming locations and dates, which will be released later in the year.

Downton Abbey is a global phenomenon and viewers all around the world continue to ask for more,” Michael says.

No doubt about it, this exhibition will definitely give the people what they want.
