The remake is rarely as good as the original – could this card game be different?
Mashable and The Associated Press have reported an exciting announcement from Mattel, there’s going to be a follow-up to everyone’s favourite card game, Uno and it’s called Dos, obviously.
Now here’s the thing, reports say it took them two years to develop Dos but were not sure why because it seems almost identical to the original Uno.
The Mattel Game website explains the rules to Dos, see if you notice any similarities.
How to play Dos
To start, there are two piles in the middle of the participants, and on each player’s turn they can play on both piles with either one or two cards.
In a fun twist, if a player has two cards that add up to the number of the card in the center pile, they are able to put down both cards.
Just like UNO, DOS is a race to get rid of your cards before your competitors do. The first person to 200 points is the winner!
And in a fun twist, now when you’re down to two cards, don’t forget to yell “Dos!” has a 108-card deck plus instructions.
For 2 to 4 players. Ages 7 and older.
So basically it’s a slightly more complicated version of the original but hey, we’re still excited get the family around and give it a go.
It has been 50 years since Uno came into our lives, we’re ready for a change.
No exact date for release yet, though the Mattel website says the products are available “soon” and other websites predict anytime from March to August.
We’ll be waiting!
