Chris Dawson has plead not guilty to the murder of his wife and Sydney woman Lynette Dawson.
The former rugby league player, who was the subject of the groundbreaking and award-winning podcast The Teacherโs Pet, was charged with his former wifeโs murder last December, after Lynette disappeared from the cityโs northern beaches in 1982.
Dawsonโs lawyer formally entered a not guilty plea at Downing Centre Local Court today.
The former Newtown Jets rugby star has been a person of interest since his wife went missing almost 37 years ago.

Whatโs more, it took Chris almost six weeks to tell police his wife had gone missing, insisting at the time that she had left on her own accord to join a religious group.

The 70-year-old will be due back in court on August 8 as the matter continues.
