Have you ever wondered what you might look like in another decade? Do you dream of wearing the preppy pastel sweaters of the ’90s or think you would suit sitting for an antique tea stained portrait in an Elizabethan lace dress?
One Ohio State University student took her wonderment to a whole new level and created a fashion trip down memory lane with a new art project.
Annalisa Hartlaub went from a 1920s flapper to a 1970s flower child in her photography work when she recreated her style to reflect the quintessential looks of each decade for the latest 100 years.
The 16-year-old artist developed the work for her photography class and told The Huffington Post her work was inspired by her interest in the cultural alternative.
“I’ve always been fascinated, and a bit infatuated, with counterculture and how it shapes society and mainstream culture as well. So I decided to mix that interest with my love of fashion, makeup, and photography to create something.”
