It may have been launched barely a year ago, but Blake Lively couldnโt preserve her ironically named lifestyle website Preserve confessing that, โitโs not making a difference in peopleโs lives.โ
The actress sat down with Vouge to reveal the news explaining that the site which sells pricey bits and bobs will shut down as of October 9th.
โWe launched the site before it was ready, and it never caught up to its original mission: Itโs not making a difference in peopleโs lives, whether superficially or in a meaningful way,โ she told the mag.
โAnd thatโs the whole reason I started this company, not just to fluff myself, like, โIโm a celebrity! People will care what I have to say!โ It was so never meant to be that,โ she added.
But fear not, the 28-year-old mum-of-one is not going down without a fight, telling Vogue that sheโll re-launch it again when itโs ready.
โItโs very exciting and itโs also incredibly scary, I never thought I would have the bravery to actually do that, to take the site dark and to say, โYou know what? I havenโt created something that is as true and impactful as I know it can and will be,โ she explained.
โYou know what, Iโm going to give myself one more shot at this, and I really have to do it as well as I can do it this time.โ
And if youโre wondering how she brushes off the haters โ well itโs the same way we do.
โIโm totally terrified out of my mind! Iโve asked my husband to just play โShake It Offโ on a loop โ it feels really good to listen to it on a loop!โ
