Cinque Terre, Italy

โ€˜Cinque Terreโ€™ translates to โ€˜five townsโ€™, referring to the string of small villages that make up this pastel-hued stretch of coastline along the Italian Riviera. Largely accessible only by foot, the areaโ€™s cosy, hospitable feel, teamed with its incredible views of the Mediterranean Sea, make it must-see destination.

Fiordland National Park, New Zealand

A scenic cruise through the Fiordland National Parkโ€”New Zealandโ€™s largestโ€”will ensure youโ€™re flanked by incredible scenery without pause. Tucked in the southwest corner of the South Island, itโ€™s also home to Milford Sound, which writer Rudyard Kipling once described as the โ€œeighth wonder of the world.โ€

Marrakesh, Morocco

While not Moroccoโ€™s capital, Marrakesh is one of its most popular travel destinations. Be sure to visit Jardin Majorelle, a stunning garden enclosing an electric blue-coloured museum and gallery once owned by Yves Saint Laurent; the Instagrammable Ben Youssef Madrasa with its impressively intricate tiling, and spend time in some of the many souks (markets) in the city.

Paris, France

You know what they say, Paris is always a good idea, and if you havenโ€™t yet visited the worldโ€™s most romantic city, why not now? While the city itself is steeped in culture and history, thereโ€™s also a range of day trips and overnight stays to be had outside the city. Hop on the train to the Palace of Versailles, or spend a wine-filled weekend in the Loire Valley.

The islands of Santoriniโ€”consisting of Thรญra, Thirassiรก, Aspronรญssi, Palea and Nea Kamรฉniโ€”were largely formed by the active volcano on which they sit, with picturesque white, blue and pastel buildings now lining their cliffsides (often draped beautiful pink bougainvillea). Witnessing the sunset from Oia before strolling the streets, eating and drinking late into the night, all make Santorini a must-visit destination on one of Princess Cruisesโ€™ Mediterranean cruises.

Outlander fans will revel in the rolling green scenery and rich history of the Scottish Highlands. Glacier Bay National Park, Alaska

Known for its whale watching and likely glimpses at the elusive Northern Lights, the Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve is one of Alaskaโ€™s most breathtaking destinations. A cruise is the best way to take in the highlights of the vast, 4,000-square-kilometre natural wonderlandโ€”be sure to make time for some old-fashioned Alaskan dog sledding, too.

Cappadocia, Turkey

Youโ€™ve likely seen a wanderlust-inducing shot like the one above before and been stunned by the incredible view of coloured hot air balloons that pepper the sky in Cappadocia, in south central Turkey. Itโ€™s also home to โ€œfairy chimneysโ€, unique cone-like geological formations, a result of the erosion of soft volcanic ash, which often have hotels, houses and restaurants built into them, making for a truly unique travel experience.

Lake Hillier, Australia

The bubblegum-pink Lake Hillier is one of our countryโ€™s lesser known natural wonders, located on Middle Island, off the coast of Esperance in Western Australia, and best viewed by air. Scientists still donโ€™t know exactly why the lake appears pink, but believe itโ€™s due to a dye created by the bacteria in salt crusts.
