Rocking a hot new body, the 30-year-old admits that losing 75kg has given her the confidence to tackle The Voice stage.
“I feel good about seeing myself on telly now,” she shares.
Struggling with her weight for most of her life, Brooke felt like she needed to make a big life change.
“I tried everything – gyms, no carbs, no sugars, no this and that… I’m not an emotional eater, it’s just always been there.”
After giving birth to her second son, Jeremiah, now two, Brooke made the “tough” decision to have gastric sleeve surgery.
“After he was born, I stood on the scales and it said I weighed 150kg. I was shocked! I knew I needed something that was lifelong and I needed to change everything when it came to my lifestyle and food habits.”
Since having the operation in January 2016, the blonde beauty hasn’t looked back and is ready to chase her music dreams.
“I don’t have any inhibitions now and that’s where my music and my voice can shine through, I can actually be myself now. It’s pretty liberating,” she shares.
And country crooner Keith Urban has also helped keep her confidence high, with Brooke’s YouTube video asking him if she could join him on tour leading to a firm friendship.
“I’m very lucky to have him on my side,” she says.
