Ricki Lee leads the way of stars who are proud of their body as she hits back on Instagram.
Ricki-Lee Coulter leads the way of stars who are proud of their body as she hits back at online bullies via Instagram.
Responding to criticisms about her physique, Ricki posted a bare bikini shot in which she faces the camera front-on. “I’ve been called every name under the sun & have always managed to maintain an unbreakable self confidence,” she wrote.
“It’s that self confidence that I’ve always tried to encourage women to have. The kind of confidence where it doesn’t matter what anybody says – you are happy with yourself.
“It’s never mattered to me what size I am – I’ve always been full of confidence & always felt comfortable in my skin & felt sexy no matter what size. I hope this puts an end to the ridiculous comments about the way I look.”
Responding to criticism that she looked too thin, Ricki-Lee isn’t the first celeb to defend her look by flaunting her curves. Other female stars have defended their bodies after criticisms of not being thin enough. Salma Hayek has lambasted Hollywood for putting pressure on actresses to be unnaturally thin and Jennifer Lopez apparently once fired a manager whole told her to lose weight.
Christina Hendricks, who probably has the most incredible shapely figure in the business, says that she loved her body after she put on weight. “I loved how it changed my appearance and how it made me look more womanly and sexy.”

Kate Winslet has always been a champion of girls with a bit of extra meat on them. In a 2003 interview with British GQ she said: “All I know from the men I’ve ever spoken to is…they like girls to have an arse on them.”
