In very scary news, Paris Jackson has shared that she underwent surgery to remove an abscess.
And proving she is every bit her father Michael Jackson’s daughter, Paris went on to perform the very next day
In a video posted to her band The Soundflowers Instagram story, she told fans, “So long story short, I had surgery yesterday.”
The infection was “almost the size of a golf ball”, explaining to her well-wishers that “if it pops, you can go septic and die.”
“But I didn’t die,” adding, “They operated immediately.”
The Jackson legacy decided to decline the use of anesthesia and was “awake for all of it.”
“It was definitely the most pain that I’d ever been through in my entire life, considering I’m covered head to toe in tattoos,” Paris Jackson said. “But, I’m alive.”
The 20-year-old noted that she wasn’t in the best frame of mind, due to all the medication she was on to help with the recovery process.
“Also sorry if I sound weird!”
“I’m on a lot of meds right now to kind of get me through the pain of the procedure. I shouldn’t have even left bed today.”
Her fans were completely gobsmacked when Paris decided to still go ahead and perform at her Saturday gig at the Canyon Sessions fundraiser for F— Cancer in Los Angeles.
Showing that she was in high spirits, she joked, we “didn’t completely suck.”
Saturday marked only her second live show with her band, and she had some very special guests in the crowd cheering her on.
Paris Jackson shares emotional reunion with mum Debbie Rowe
Paris’ grandmother – Michael’s mum – Katherine Jackson was there for her granddaughter’s special moment.
Moved by her attendance, Paris told fans, “I can’t believe my grandma made it to our second live show ever.”
Clearly overwhelmed, she continued, “And she actually liked it!?!!! I was sh-tting my pants.”
“I love you so much grandma.”
Ending the sweet note, the 20-year-old gushed, “I’m so happy we got to play for you and to play for such an incredible cause.”
