She’s known for her dedication to diets, and even though she’s currently following the Atkins meal plan in a bid to shed all of her baby weight and then some, Kim Kardashian still turns to fast food when those junk food cravings hit.
In a tell-all blog post on her subscriber-only website, the reality star revealed her 5 go-to drive thru orders in the hopes that talking about it will diminish her cravings.
“Even though I’m on my strict Atkins diet now, of course I still have cravings!” she began.
“Fast food is def one of my guilty pleasures,” she writes. “I go very rarely, but OMG I love it so much when I decide to indulge.”
As it turns out, Kim has a go-to order for almost all of the main US fast food chains, from KFC and McDonalds, to Taco Bell and Chipotle.
In case you were to ever go for a midnight Macca’s run with the selfie Queen, you can expect her to order chicken nuggets with a side of honey or a cheeseburger.
And yes, both will “ALWAYS” be accompanied by a small fries.
At the Mexican grill chain, the mother-of-two keeps it simple with a chipotle bowl made up of “just rice, chicken, guacamole and cheese.”
She completes the meal with a mandatory serve of fries, and a Diet Coke with “LOTS of ice” because “If they don’t put enough ice in it, I die.”
At Taco Bell, one hard and one soft beef taco plus cinnamon twists for dessert will do the trick, and at KFC, extra-crispy chicken wings are her go to.
And while all of those options sound delicious, her number one choice for a fast food feed comes from the popular California burger joint In-N-Out.
“This is honestly one of my favourite meals ever: I always get just the plain cheeseburger, cheese fries and a vanilla shake. So good!!!”
Watch the moment Kim tricked her family into eating her own placenta! Post continues…
But despite cravings powerful enough to warrant a whole article, Kim proved that willpower can indeed be stronger than fries when it comes to maintaining a diet.
In a snapchat posted on July 4th, the star revealed that she was able to control her fast food urges by staying home, despite the day being one of the biggest parties in the US.
“Stayed home today cuz I couldn’t temp myself,” she wrote. “2weeks crazy strict Atkins diet.”
If after all that you too suddenly feel like a cheeseburger (guilty!), take a look at these three quick ways to outsmart a craving.
1. Have a glass of water
It’s a well known fact that we as humans often confuse hunger with thirst, and as a result, we crave food for sustenance when we really just need an H20 top-up.
So next time a snack attack hits, don’t give in but go and get yourself a glass of cold water instead.
2. Occupy your mind
Tidy your desk, call your mum, do some laundry or just do anything to just take your mind off that chocolate bar!
Boredom cravings can attack at any time, so next time you feel like eating for no other reason than there’s nothing else to do, find yourself something to do.
3. Snack on something good
You might be craving a packet of salt and vinegar chips, but truthfully, anything crunchy and salty will do the trick.
A handful of nuts will satisfy your taste-buds whilst still helping you reach your daily protein requirements. Win-win!
