The Joy star’s personal trainer Dalton Wong has released a new book called The Feelgood Plan and in it, Jen writes candidly about how he overhauled her lifestyle without any extreme measures.
“We spent 10-12 hours a day together for three months working out between filming on [the X-Men] set,” the 25-year-old revealed in the book’s foreword.
“He changed my body for that movie and gave me the skills to change my life. I could never live on a ‘diet.’ Dalton taught me how to eat, move and live a delicious but healthy life,” the Oscar winner added.
The most exciting part? The fact that the talented actress still indulges in the foods she loves.
“We remain good friends; when I’m in London I love to train in his gym, then afterwards we go out for burgers and fries with his family. It’s all about balance,” the Hunger Games starlet said.
Dalton believes it’s all about finding the food that works best for your body.
JLaw’s go-to snacks according to her trainer are hummus with vegetables, turkey, sourdough bread with avocado and dark chocolate.
The trainer to the stars also says there’s never an excuse not to squeeze in a work-out. When Jennifer had a short break on set, they would do a quick session of squats and lunges.
“By taking 15 minutes to do something for your body that makes you feel good. You don’t just get an instant lift, you build a lasting change,” he said.
