Amal Clooney
Amal and George Clooney welcomed their first children together, twins Alexander and Ella, in June 2017 and although their high flying business and Hollywood lives seem far from relatable, when it comes to raising twins this power couple face the same difficulties as any parent of multiples.
Despite telling Vogue in a recent interview that her son is “quite a healthy eater,” breastfeeding twins proved to be challenging for Amal.
“When I was nursing, it was much more complicated, because there are two,” she explained. “I had all manner of weird cushions and pillows and machines.”
Serena Williams
The tennis superstar reached out to fellow mums on Twitter when she posted this beautiful shot of herself beaming at her daughter Alexis. The 36-year-old captioned the post with a question: “Fellow mums: How long did you breastfeed? Is it weird that I get emotional when I even just think about when it’s time to stop [breastfeeding]?”
The first-time mum received a flurry of positive messages and advice on her post, including a note from one woman who wrote, “Not a mum yet, but read a good chunk of the responses and took notes for the future.”

The Married at First Sight’s star penned an honest message about breastfeeding daughter Harper-Rose, who was born in November.
“It took me a good two weeks to get the hang of breastfeeding. Like a new pair of shoes my boobs had to be worn in boot camp style! (Ouch!)😖 Both Harper & I had to learn the art of attachment and it wasn’t easy. I had days I wanted to give up. Thank god for the nipple shield which was a godsend when I needed in those early days when my nips resembled a crime scene 😳. (Highly recommend!) And now when I feed my baby, I marvel at the perfect nourishment my body producers and I am so grateful and honoured I can breastfeed her, especially acknowledging it can be for many a horrible ordeal for a myriad of reasons.”
Finishing with a message of love for the mums out there, Zoe wrote: “Our bodies are extraordinary ladies we must never forget or be made to feel we are doing anything but what our breasts were created to do.”
