One of The Biggest Loser franchise’s most long-standing personalities, Bob Harper, is lucky to be alive after enduring a heart attack during a training session earlier this month.
According to TMZ, a doctor, who happened to be also training at the gym, performed CPR on Trainer Bob, before he was then taken to hospital.
The heart attack left him unconscious for two days, and he remained in a New York City hospital for eight days before being given leave to fly home back to LA.
The 51-year-old blames his latest health scare on genetics as his mum died from a heart attack.
However, Us Weekly have reported that sources close to Trainer Bob suggest his heart attack could also have something to do with the fact the star allegedly “pushes himself too hard” when he trains.
Just this morning, Trainer Bob took to Instagram to reassure his fans that he’s now doing OK.
“Well, I guess you all heard what happened. Two weeks ago yesterday I had a heart attack. I am feeling better. Just taking it easy,” the caption read.
As reported by News.com.au, Trainer Bob first started working with The Biggest Loser back in 2004 as one of the show’s trainers, and later appeared on the first three seasons of the Australian Biggest Loser.
We’re wishing Trainer Bob a speedy recovery!
